5 x World Champion Philip Koster flying high on his way to victory

Competition is  down to the final 8 of the men’s and women’s divisions. Here are the total heat scores from the men’s quarter finals of those advancing to the semis:

Jaeger Stone 14.5 highest heat score

Philip Koster 13.3

Simon Thule 13.0

Julian Salmonn 12.7

Ricky VanDertoon 12.1

Peter Kenyon 11.9

Hendrix Stone 11.3Ian Pott 11.2

The women were charging hard at the 2025 4 Star Margaret River Wave Classic. Jane Seman was on fire and wowed the crowd and the judges with a late hit aerial at the powerful break. Other strong performances came from the young girls getting a lot of attention like Sarah Kenyon, Jaiya Mars Morris, and Santina Pillonel all proving themselves to be extraordinary strong young women on the rise.

Philip Koster had a very good day at the 2025 4 Star Margaret River Wave Classic. Pouring on the power, he won his first round heat and jumped straight to round 3 quarter finals. He then made short work of the Quarter to advance into the Semis. A master class from the 5 x World Wave Champion.

The highest quarter final total heat score came from the red hot Jaeger Stone. On current form, he’s the favorite by a narrow margin over 5 x world champion Philip Koster, fellow German shredder Julian Salmonn, and the Danish Simon Thule.

Simon has been competing for a long time but after 4 months here in Western Australia last season and another long stint this season he has become rather formidable. The next generation is always on the rise and there’s a lot of exciting new talent emerging here.

Day 2 Sunday will be Finals Day. Stay tuned, and be sure to follow the @margaretriver_wswaveclassic and the @iwt_wave_tour for all the up to date action and info.
